violin identification.

Hello everyone,

I respectfully submit to you the pictures of a violin I bought some time ago from my late teacher and had professionally restored.

It has blocks but the linings stop at the blocks and are not let into them.

There is a step under the FB where the neck joins the peg box at the graft.

Marcel Richters says it's a very well made French violin circa 1760,with top quality varnish (what's left of it). but beyond that he could not point to a maker or school.

Your informed opinions will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
