Hey,
First of all I want to say that it is a real pleasure to see so many strings experts gathered in one place to help people ![:)]()

I am 21 years old who aspires to be a professional violinist. I have an excellent violin but before I bought my violin at 12,000 euros
I played the violin that belonged to my grandfather, although the sound is very strong, there is no depth to the sound in my opinion and ,not comfortable playing and when I play piano on the violin it does not respond well .
I still keep the violin because I'm attached to it and that is the only souvenir from my grandfather.

I was wondering if someone could identify where the violin come from? How old is he? What says the stamp on the back of the violin?
On the stamp reads: British American Trading CO
I have attached pictures I took today, thanks everyone![:D]()
Inside the violin reads: antonio Guadagnini
Of course he did not even slightly similar antonio Guadagnini violin
