I've been looking for a violin for a while, but after a bad experience on eBay in 2007, I have preferred to only buy what I can feel in my own hands. This past weekend, I came across a violin I felt compelled to own. In trying to discover more about it I found your forum which I somehow missed until now.
The violin is marked
H.C. Silvestre
a Lyon en 18 45 No.75 (or 15)
I will try to figure out photos in a little bit, I will hopefully have them posted in an hour or so.
If you could please shed some light as to what I bought, I would greatly appreciate it. If particular photos or measurements would help, please let me know.
Thanks
